Recently, Harbin Institute of Technology held the opening ceremony of the Sanyi Lecture Hall and an academic seminar themed “Human-Centered and Scientific Pathways for High-Quality Urban and Rural Development.” Li Cundong, Secretary-General of the Architectural Society of China and National Master of Engineering Survey and Design, and Li Mingjiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department, attended the ceremony and delivered remarks. Xiu Long, Chairman of the Architectural Society of China, and Yue Qingrui and Mei Hongyuan, both academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the event and delivered keynote reports.
Xiu Long, Yue Qingrui, Mei Hongyuan, Li Mingjiang, Li Cundong, Sun Cheng, Dean of the School of Architecture and Design, and Wu Yue, Party Secretary of the School, jointly launched the Sanyi Lecture Hall.
The Sanyi Lecture Hall is a high-level academic brand launched by the School of Architecture and Design in response to the high-quality development requirements of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It is closely aligned with the goals of building first-class disciplines, first-class talent, and first-class platforms. Rooted in the School’s century-long academic accumulation, it carries forward the scholarly legacy of China’s “Old Eight Schools of Architecture.” Responding to national strategies and the needs of the times, and supported by the framework of “Greater Human Settlements + Greater Design,” the Lecture Hall brings together renowned scholars and leading industry experts. It is dedicated to building an academic exchange platform that integrates talent cultivation, research breakthroughs, and cultural inheritance, while continuously leading frontier innovation and high-quality development in architecture and design disciplines.
