Backed by the university’s undergraduate Global Navigation: Broadening International Perspectives program, 86 students from the School of Architecture and Design took part in phased visits to leading universities around the world for immersive academic exchanges. The program was designed as an integral part of the Open Research-Oriented Design course, using a high-caliber academic platform to give students more opportunities to engage directly and on equal terms with top global institutions. Through these exchanges, students were encouraged to approach urban and cultural issues of global significance from an international and cross-cultural perspective, while strengthening their intellectual breadth, creative capacity, and ability to communicate across borders.
