The International Joint Laboratory for Green and Low-Carbon Urban Renewal, jointly established by HIT and Politecnico di Torino, is our school’s first international cooperation laboratory approved by the Ministry of Education. The lab aims to serve the nation’s strategic needs for green and low-carbon development. It focuses on scientific and engineering challenges such as low-carbon upgrades of residential areas, revitalization of historical districts, innovation in green energy-saving building technologies, transformation of old industrial zones, and enhancement of public space health and quality. By bringing together a high-level, interdisciplinary, and international academic team in the field of green and low-carbon urban renewal, the laboratory is committed to becoming a hub with strong capabilities in innovative talent cultivation, scientific research, and engineering practice, with significant global influence.

During the same period, additional events were held, including the first faculty-student meeting for the Sino-foreign cooperative education program in Smart Architecture and Construction, co-organized by HIT and Politecnico di Torino, and the Cross Dispensary and Harmonious Smart Innovation for the Future-Sino-ltaly Architecture and Design Forum.
